Reciprocity
Out of state First Responders or NREMT First Responders wanting to obtain Ky First Responder certification may do so in two ways:

First Responder Temporary Certification |

Allows 6 months to obtain NREMT-FR certification and/or GED. 6-month certification, non-renewable. For use only if UNABLE to meet all requirements of the Out of State First Responder Checklist.

Out of State FR Reciprocity |

Two-year certification for out of state First Responders wishing to obtain KY First Responder certification. Must have NREMT-FR certification.
