KYEMSC Training Information

KYEMSC is now scheduling  classes for 2006! Contact Tom Taylor to schedule your class!

A large part of our funding is used to present training opportunities to Paramedic’s, EMT’s, First Responders, and emergency department nurses. These classes are presented completely FREE OF CHARGE. We offer free textbooks and completion cards and provide all training equipment and supplies. ALS courses require two days of class. BLS courses require one day. BLS folks who attend both days of an ALS class will get inservice credit for their time, however their completion card will be BLS not ALS. We currently offer Pediatric Education For Prehospital Professionals (PEPP), START/JumpSTART and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes. Kentucky Terrorism
Response and Preparedness
Pediatric Terrorism Online Awareness-Level Training

Target Audience: Federal, state and local emergency public safety, law enforcement, emergency response, emergency medical (including hospital emergency facilities), and related personnel, agencies, and authorities. This course provides free CEU's for all first responders and is provided by the Kentucky EMS for Children Project and KIPRC through our federal partnership grant! The course material provides a basic understanding of terrorism from a pediatric perspective.
